Stephanie has been an educator, grades 7-12, for over 30 years. She served as a high school assistant principal and director of curriculum before taking on a more extensive leadership role as an executive director. She supervised director-level positions for data, multilingual learners, PreK, special education, and extended learning. Stephanie is passionate about systems improvement and focuses on leadership and collaboration at all organizational levels. She has supported teachers and administrators in improving teacher practices and developing, revising, and improving curriculum for all students. She led the district initiative for dedicated professional learning communities time to increase systems of teacher collaboration. She created a model for instructional coaching aimed at continuous improvement, focusing on student-centered learning. Her work in early literacy supported a district transition to high-leverage practices focused on PreK through grade 3 standards and skills.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has served on several Vermont education committees, including the workgroup for VT Education Quality Standards, Act 77 practices for flexible pathways, and as a board member of the Champlain Valley Education Center, Vermont’s largest educational service agency (ESA) focused on professional learning.
